If you wish to seek partial funding from Open Space Institute USA
(OSI-USA):
First note that if you have received funding from the OSI-USA before, they
ask that you please wait 3 years or more before you make another request for
funding to them, so that others may also have a chance to use these
resources.
To ask for partial funding:
-
Please first see if you fulfill all of the following 4 criteria:
Projects (using or informed by Open Space) that serve underserved areas
of the world.
Leveraged efforts that reach multiple people, especially in training or
other sustaining sorts of ways.
Situations wherein other groups or individuals have already made
investments so that OSI-USA augments rather than initiates projects.
A description of how you will do good work with the experience you gain at this conference and a commitment of how you will bring the story of what you do back to the larger OS community.
Then research your costs and make a detailed list showing each
cost.
Write a request for partial funding explaining how you fulfill the 4
criteria and also showing all your costs, including what portion is being
covered by your other sources of funding and what portion you seek from the
OSI-USA.
Send your request for funding to
usa@openspaceworld.org.
Please note that funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis
and the final deadline for receiving proposals is May 9, 2008.
